Your selected text stays in your browser. The extension does not send chat content or usage data to the developer or to any external server.

What the extension does

DeepSeek Enhancer is an independent, unofficial Chrome extension. It runs only on https://chat.deepseek.com/* and lets you preview selected page text and append it as a quote to the message composer. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by DeepSeek.

Information processed locally

The extension reads the text you select on the DeepSeek chat page, the page layout needed to position the quote prompt, and the existing message draft when you click Quote. It uses this information only to display the preview and add your quote without replacing your draft.

Selections may contain personal information or private conversation content. Processing takes place locally in your browser. The developer does not receive, collect on a server, or have access to this content.

Storage and retention

The selected-text snapshot is held temporarily in memory and cleared after a successful quote, when the prompt is dismissed, or when the page is hidden or left. The extension does not persist conversation content or selections in files, browser storage, or a database.

After you click Quote, the quoted text becomes part of your draft on the DeepSeek page. You can edit or delete it there. Any draft retention by the DeepSeek website is controlled by DeepSeek, not by this extension.

Sharing, analytics, and advertising

The extension makes no network requests and includes no analytics, advertising, tracking tools, or remotely hosted executable code. It does not sell, share, or transfer your selected text or drafts to the developer or other parties. It does not read account credentials or cookies and does not access browsing history or other websites.

When you send a message

The extension does not send messages automatically. If you send a draft containing a quote, the DeepSeek website processes that message under its own terms and privacy policy. This policy covers the extension's behavior, not the DeepSeek service.

Your choices

You choose which text to select and whether to click Quote. You can dismiss the quote prompt, edit or remove an inserted quote before sending, restrict the extension's site access in Chrome, or disable or uninstall it at any time. The developer holds no extension conversation data to export or delete.

Limited Use

DeepSeek Enhancer uses information only to provide its visible quote feature and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is not used for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

This policy website

This page is hosted on GitHub Pages. It contains no analytics, external fonts, or tracking scripts. GitHub may process visitor request information to operate and secure its hosting service, as described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement. Visiting this page does not give the developer access to your DeepSeek conversations.

Changes and contact

This policy will be updated if the extension's data practices change. The revision date above identifies the current policy.
